Mobile experience
Build mobile-optimised web apps and publish native iOS and Android apps from your bldrAgent project.
Mobile on bldrAgent
All bldrAgent apps are mobile-first and responsive by default. Beyond that, bldrAgent supports two additional mobile delivery options:
- Progressive Web App (PWA) — installable on any device from the browser, no app store needed
- Native app wrapper — publish to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
Responsive design
When you build on bldrAgent, every screen is automatically made responsive. Use the AI to fine-tune:
"On mobile, collapse the sidebar into a bottom tab bar with icons for Home, Search, and Profile" "Stack the pricing cards vertically on screens under 640px wide"
Use the Device preview toggle in the editor to preview your app at phone and tablet sizes.
Progressive Web App (PWA)
Enable PWA in App Settings → Mobile:
- Toggle Enable PWA on
- Upload your app icon (512×512 PNG)
- Set a splash screen background colour
- Choose display mode: Standalone (no browser chrome) or Browser
Once enabled, users visiting your app on mobile will see an "Add to Home Screen" prompt. The installed PWA works offline for cached content.
PWA capabilities:
- Offline support for previously visited pages
- Push notifications (opt-in)
- Home screen icon
- Full-screen launch with no browser address bar
Native iOS and Android apps
For App Store / Play Store distribution, bldrAgent wraps your web app using Capacitor — a cross-platform native runtime.
Prerequisites
- A paid bldrAgent plan
- An Apple Developer account ($99/year) for iOS
- A Google Play Developer account ($25 one-time) for Android
Process
- Configure mobile settings — Go to App Settings → Mobile → Native App
- Set app metadata — bundle ID, display name, version, description
- Upload assets — app icon sets and splash screens
- Request a build — bldrAgent compiles the native shell and emails you the build file
- Submit to stores — upload the build to App Store Connect / Play Console and submit for review
Tip: Apple's review process takes 1–3 business days. Plan accordingly before your launch date.
Mobile-specific features
Enable native device features via the AI:
"Add a button that lets users take a photo from their phone camera and upload it as their profile picture" "Ask for location permission when the user opens the map page" "Send a push notification when a user's order status changes"
Supported native features:
- Camera access
- GPS / location
- Push notifications
- Biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID)
- File system access (read/write)
